Questions about colour matching
Is my saree photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The photo is read and analysed inside your own browser. It is never sent to Dream of Fashions or to any other server, which is also why the tool works even on a weak connection.
Which thread shades does it match against?
The full Vintex thread colour card plus our metallic zari catalogue — the same shade codes we use in production, so what you see here is what we can actually stitch.
How accurate is the match?
Matching uses CIEDE2000, the colour difference standard that models how the human eye judges colour, rather than a naive RGB comparison. Phone cameras and indoor lighting still shift colour, so we always confirm the final shade against the physical cone on WhatsApp before production begins.
Can I match one specific part of the saree?
